  In lessico borsistico è il termine con il quale viene indicata la tabella che presenta le ultime offerte in acquisto e vendita di un titolo e i rispettivi volumi, cioè il numero di azioni riguardante la proposta di negoziazione. Il book più utilizzato è quello a cinque livelli: in questo caso sono contenute le ultime cinque proposte di negoziazione in acquisto e in vendita. Nell'ambito delle gestioni patrimoniali indica il totale delle vendite e degli acquisti di uno o più beni finanziari che, generalmente, fanno riferimento ad un unico portafoglio.
